This espresso cup is hand-pinched from stoneware in a rich blue glaze with hints of green — and finished with raised gold stars in gold luster. The stars are the only embellishment: quiet, precise, placed by hand.
About This Piece
The raised stars are applied individually before firing, then finished with gold luster in a second firing — warm and metallic, distinct against the blue glaze. The pinched form gives the cup a softly organic silhouette; subtle variation in the glaze from piece to piece is part of the handmade character.
